My name is Jessie and I am a registered dietitian who provides nutrition counseling to individuals of all ages, genders, and identities. I’m passionate about helping folks with eating disorders, chronic dieters, and those simply wishing to improve their relationship with food and their bodies. I use a HAES informed, non-diet approach to establish a pattern of eating that fits each client’s specific needs. I have experience working with clients with co-occurring diagnoses, including substance use disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, folks on the autism spectrum or with other neurodivergent tendencies. I have personal experience working a 12-step program and am comfortable working with clients who are in recovery from various types of addictions. I believe that nutrition plays a vital role in managing mental, physical and emotional health, and I hope to provide a safe space for discussing all aspects of health.
I have a BA from The University of Michigan and received my Post-Bachelor Certificate in Dietetics from Wayne State University. In addition to nutrition counseling, I have experience in long-term care, food service and adolescent eating disorder recovery programs.
Outside of helping my clients, I love spending time with family and friends. I am a new mom to an amazing little human, and have had so much fun embracing the joys and challenges of parenthood. I was a dancer growing up and enjoy staying active, but also love a cozy rainy day curled up with a book. Book recommendations are always welcome!
