(She, Her, Hers)

Hello! I’m Sydney Salloum, and I’m here to help guide you on your journey towards healing. I understand that the decision to seek therapy is often accompanied by hesitations, especially when dealing with sensitive issues. Taking that initial step can be daunting, and I am here to reassure you that your journey is a courageous one.

Having navigated various settings throughout my career, I’ve gained experience in helping individuals confront the complexities of various mental health struggles. My professional journey includes extensive experience working with diverse clients, particularly those navigating challenges such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), body image issues, and various anxiety disorders. With a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Wayne State University and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University, I bring a holistic approach to my therapeutic practice, acknowledging the interconnectedness of mental health, nutrition, and the challenges that come with eating disorders.

My commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment is at the core of my practice. I strive to provide trauma-informed care, ensuring that our therapeutic space is one where you feel heard, validated, and safe to explore your emotions and experiences.

In our work together, we will foster a therapeutic relationship built on empathy and understanding. The primary objective is to create a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll develop personalized strategies for your healing, emphasizing empowerment and resilience.

If you’re ready to take that first step, know that I am here to walk beside you, supporting you in creating positive changes in your life.
